to any setting. These couches can be built to fit your cushions or quality cushions we provide. Another option, instead of cushions, is to drape precious afghans, blankets or skins over the wood seats to create a more rustic look. |

Construction:
Couch
or love seat frame built from nice-sized lodgepole pine logs.
Optional cushions are supported by a sturdy sping system. (If
cushions are not ordered, the seat is built from sturdy kiln
dried lumber* slats as shown.) The arm rests
can be covered in the highest quality leather hide for that nice
added touch. Sturdy 100% mortise & tenon construction meaning
each log end is tenoned to fit inside a hole drilled in an adjoining
log and then bolted together (see pictures below). And the best
thing about these couches and love seats is, unlike most other
log couches, they are COMFORTABLE!
*It
is a rarity to find log or rustic furniture that is built using
kiln-dried
lumber. But not only do we build
our products using kiln-dried lumber, we build them using RUSTIC
kiln-dried lumber. This means
that our products have a rough-cut, old time look with color variations
and saw marks, yet they are VERY smooth to the touch. Our lumber
spends a great deal of time in a kiln in order to stabilize the
moisture content within it. Although this is a very expensive
and time-consuming process, it ensures the longevity of our furniture
by greatly reducing the changes of warping or cracking over time.
In addition, kiln-dried
lumber will take finish better,
last longer and will have much stronger joints.
If
furniture is built with lumber that has NOT been kiln-dried, it
is a good indication of the builder trying to save money and it
is not worth the cost savings.

- Sturdy spring support system for the cushions (if cushions are not ordered, the seat is constructed of sturdy lumber slats instead of springs)
- Arm rests covered in the highest quality Italian leather (if ordered)
- Cushion material is of the highest quality exceeding 9,000 to 15,000 rubs
- Cushion foam is high quality, high density, medium soft foam
- VERY COMFORTABLE - unlike most log couches which are hard and stiff because of the log construction - our couches have a soft feel due to the spring support system and high quality cushions
