The square timber beams on this bed add a nice rustic touch. The
posts are rough cut so you can see the cut marks, yet they are still very
smooth to the touch. These beams look like they are made of wood
that is hundreds of years old, adding a nice old style charm to any bedroom.

Construction: Entire bed frame built from nice-sized lodgepole pine logs, square timber beams & sturdy lumber. Very strong 5x5 timber beam posts with rough cut saw marks, yet very smooth to the touch. Full log side rails (no metal side rails) for added strength and to keep the rustic look a log bed was meant to have. Rough cut lumber mattress supports to give your mattress the support it needs. Sturdy 100% mortise& tenon construction (including the mattress supports) meaning each log end is tenoned to fit inside a hole drilled in an adjoining log and then bolted together (see pictures below). Comes already finished with Benjamin Moore Brand Finish (click here for more information on Benjamin Moore Finish).
