space when company is over to visit. Made from the rustic aspen wood
or our lathed GoodTimber wood to match the bed of your choice.

This picture depicts what the hide-a-bed looks like with the GoodTimber bed, the hide-a-bed comes by itself and needs to be specified if you want it with one of our beds. If ordered, the bed will need to be built custom and ready for this hide-a-bed because they do not normally come ready for one. If not specified you may get the hide-a-bed not ready to fit the right bed.  The hide-a-bed can be ordered with almost any style of our shop built beds if mentioned in checkout.

Construction: Shown here built from nice-sized lodgepole pine logs & sturdy lumber. Also available with rustic aspen wood, full of character with knots, worm holes, color variations or other characteristic features. . Full log side rails (no metal side rails) for added strength and to keep the rustic look a log bed was meant to have. Rough cut lumber mattress supports to give your mattress the support it needs. Sturdy 100% mortise & tenon construction (including the mattress supports) meaning each log end is tenoned to fit inside a hole drilled in an adjoining log and then bolted together (see pictures below). Heavy duty commercial wheels for easy pull out.

Each hide-a-bed is built to fit under the particular bed ordered with it. However, when ordering our Hide-a-Bed Trundle, it is necessary for us to know the height/thickness of the mattress that will be on your trundle so that we can make the necessary adjustments to the height of the bed (this is due to the limited space under the beds and all of the different mattress sizes).

Options: Dowels may not be added to our Hide-a-Bed Trundle because they prevent the item from fitting under the bed. For a description of custom options available, including finishing, please visit our add-ons page.
