Construction: Entire headboard built from nice-sized lodgepole pine logs. Sturdy 100% mortise & tenon construction meaning each log end is tenoned to fit inside a hole drilled in an adjoining log and then bolted together (see pictures below).

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON ATTACHING YOUR HEADBOARD TO AN EXISTING METAL FRAME: For stability reasons we recommend that you attach your new headboard to the studs in the wall behind it, however if you are needing to attach the headboard to your existing metal bed frame we will need to know the size of that metal bed frame because there are several different sizes a person can buy. This way we are sure to build it correctly.
