Sturdy wood seats made from kiln-dried lumber. It is a rarity to find log or rustic furniture that is built using kiln-dried lumber. But not only do we build our products using kiln-dried lumber, we build them using RUSTIC kiln-dried lumber. This means that our products have a rough-cut, old time look with color variations and saw marks, yet they are VERY smooth to the touch. Our lumber spends a great deal of time in a kiln in order to stabalize the moisture content within it. Although this is a very expensive and time-consuming process, it ensures the longevity of our furniture by greatly reducing the changes of warping or cracking over time. In addition, kiln-dried lumber will take finish better, last longer and will have much stronger joints.

If furniture is built with lumber that has NOT been kiln-dried, it is a good indication of the builder trying to save money and it is not worth the cost savings.

Outdoor Log Swingset

Construction: Entire A-frame built from nice-sized, hand-peeled ASPEN logs. Each piece is full of character with knots, worm holes, color variations or other characteristic features. Sturdy mortis & tenon construction meaning each log end is tenoned to fit inside a hole drilled in an adjoining log and then bolted together (see pictures below).

Features: An A-Frame built entirely from logs that are approx. 4-8" in diameter. (Chain, swings, rope, handles, can be added for an additional cost.)
