Classic Canopy Bed - 1202:

The classic log bed is our VERY BEST BED - offered here in the canopy style. Such log beds are a piece of our nation's heritage and will last as heirlooms for generations to come. These beds have additional features above the custom beds, including footboard rungs, double side rails, finish & larger, more characteristic wood. We spend the most time & effort on our classic beds as they are our high-end beds.

Construction: Entire bed frame built from nice-sized, hand-peeled ASPEN logs & sturdy lumber creating a one-of-a-kind log bed. Each piece is full of character with knots, worm holes, color variations or other characteristic features. Two full log side rails on each side of the bed (no metal side rails) for added strength and to keep the rustic look a log bed was meant to have. Rough cut lumber mattress supports to give your mattress the support it needs. Sturdy 100% mortise & tenon construction (including the mattress supports) meaning each log end is tenoned to fit inside a hole drilled in an adjoining log and then bolted together (see pictures below). Comes already finished with Benjamin Moore brand finish.

If your mattress is different than these standard sizes, it is your responsibility to contact us and let us know so we can custom build your bed or headboard. American Mattress Size Standards: Cal King: 72" x 84", King: 76" x 80", Queen: 60" x 80", Full/Double: 54" x 75", Single/Twin: 39" x 75".

Side rail holes are drilled approx. 10" and 20" above the ground leaving approx. 7-9" of clearance underneath the bed.

Shipping: This bed ships disassembled in several packages accompanied by simple assembly instructions and necessary hardware. It is very heavy due to its solid construction & packaging.
