Custom built log bookcases or entertainment centers can be used for books,
knickknacks, or corner decor and can be built to your specifications.

Log Bookcase

Construction: Built from nice-sized, hand-peeled ASPEN logs & sturdy kiln-dried lumber* creating a one-of-a-kind piece. Full of character with knots, worm holes, color variations or other characteristic features. Sturdy 100% mortise & tenon construction meaning each log end is tenoned to fit inside a hole drilled in an adjoining log and then bolted together (see pictures below).

*It is a rarity to find log or rustic furniture that is built using kiln-dried lumber. But not only do we build our products using kiln-dried lumber, we build them using RUSTIC kiln-dried lumber. This means that our products have a rough-cut, old time look with color variations and saw marks, yet they are VERY smooth to the touch. Our lumber spends a great deal of time in a kiln in order to stabilize the moisture content within it. Although this is a very expensive and time-consuming process, it ensures the longevity of our furniture by greatly reducing the changes of warping or cracking over time. In addition, kiln-dried lumber will take finish better, last longer and will have much stronger joints.

If furniture is built with lumber that has NOT been kiln-dried, it is a good indication of the builder trying to save money and it is not worth the cost savings.

This bookcase ships disassembled in several packages accompanied by simple assembly instructions and necessary hardware. It is very heavy due to its solid construction & packaging weighing approx. 275 lbs.
