old. It is extremely durable and built to last and last. A beautiful piece to
show off your collectibles alongside your couch or love seat.

Distressed Alder Couch Table

Construction: Solid high quality hard-wood alder table. Distressed as if the wood is over 100 years old. Very beautiful. Can also be made of pine with a kiln-dried lumber* table top, looks just like the alder table pictured above, just different kind of wood. *It is a rarity to find log or rustic furniture that is built using kiln-dried lumber. But not only do we build our products using kiln-dried lumber, we build them using RUSTIC kiln-dried lumber. This means that our products have a rough-cut, old time look with color variations and saw marks, yet they are VERY smooth to the touch. Our lumber spends a great deal of time in a kiln in order to stabilize the moisture content within it. Although this is a very expensive and time-consuming process, it ensures the longevity of our furniture by greatly reducing the changes of warping or cracking over time. In addition, kiln-dried lumber will take finish better, last longer and will have much stronger joints.

If furniture is built with lumber that has NOT been kiln-dried, it is a good indication of the builder trying to save money and it is not worth the cost savings.
