Construction: Entire bed frame built from nice-sized, hand-peeled ASPEN logs & sturdy lumber creating a one-of-a-kind log bed. Each piece is full of character with knots, worm holes, color variations or other characteristic features. Full log side rails (no metal side rails) for added strength and to keep the rustic look a log bed was meant to have. Rough cut lumber mattress supports to give your mattress the support it needs. Sturdy 100% morties & tenon construction (including the mattress supports) meaning each log end is tenoned to fit inside a hole drilled in an adjoining log and then bolted together (see pictures below).

Side rail holes are drilled approx. 10" above the ground leaving approx. 7-9" of clearance underneath the bed.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON ATTACHING YOUR HEADBOARD TO AN EXISTING METAL FRAME: For stability reasons we recommend that you attach your new headboard to the studs in the wall behind it, however if you are needing to attach the headboard to your existing metal bed frame we will need to know the size of that metal bed frame because there are several different sizes a person can buy. This way we are sure to build it correctly.

Disclaimer: Please remember that rustic furniture is a very characteristic brand of furniture, we say regular furniture is a science, & log furniture is an art. Therefore, when a customer gets a piece, it will be somewhat abstract & different, causing and including, but not limited to, beautiful curves, bends, cracks, and all kinds of color variations. WOOD CHECKING, knots, warps in wood, & very inconsistent on measurements & spacing. We're sure you will appreciate this uniqueness & realize that this is the type of furniture that was bought.
